2015 LED DRL is Purple
I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee with the LED daytime running lights. I just noticed that one of the individual LED bulbs is a bluish purplish color. Not sure when this happened - there is currently 11K miles and had it for about 11 months. Is this a warranty issue? Seems like it would be an expensive part to replace. Anyone experienced something similar?
I've seen that on other JGC's on the road, although not 6 or 8 together like that. I agree, those are failed LED's and I would think warranty would cover it. To my knowledge the entire headlamp assembly has to be replaced.

It's "just" an LED failure which can happen sometimes. Your dealer should replace it for you under warranty...that's been the case with other incidents that I've seen posted.

I'm having the same issue. One dealership says the warranty is 12 months 12,000 miles. I have 16,000 on my 2015 GC and they say it will cost $1200. Another dealership says it is covered under the 3 yr 36,000 warranty. Anybody know the real true answer.

Things like replaceable light bulbs and brake pads are considered maintenance items and are covered for 12,000 miles. The headlight LEDs are not replaceable short of replacing the entire lamp assembly. That should be covered for 36,000 miles. Pm member Jeepcares with the question, they are FCA customer service.
