14Summithemi, what was the ending to this story? Did you ever get another JGC and were you happy with it or did I miss something?

You beat me to it. Yes have had my new JGC for 3 months. I wanted to shake it down before posting.

Vehicle specs: '14 JGC Summit, 4WD, 5.7L, Cherry Red/Morocco Black, 7 miles on odom, 11/6/13 build date- delivered 11/28/13, 3,900 miles of driving it...

Upon Delivery....

Paint perfect.

Window/door seals- some rolled like before but I un-rolled them and they are fine so far.

Front Park Assist sensors- all fine.

Headlights-condensation on inside of both lenses -doesn't evaporate when TSB is followed exactly. The real issue is that someone must have had dirty gloves or hands when they assembled the whole assembly (probably supplier not JNAP) and there are smudges all over the main center globe that articulates. Hitting the dealer up for both of these on visit next week.

Rear fender and trim- same as before, sub-optimal design for Ohio winters and the huge icebergs that build up and hang out in the fender wells. They really adhere to the synthetic fabric liner in the wheel wells too.

Air Conditioner Filter- installed (wasn't in my '02)

Fog lights- no installation scratches, perfect.

Tailgate/taillights/shocks- better fitment than last one, fine for me.

Interior- all ok with speaker rings, console alignment, scratches, etc..

Electronics- just some teething issues that are all software related like the latest software TSB. It wasn't supposed to apply to me based on build date, but it did. DO NOT believe the TSB built date applicability guidelines, they may be wrong.

Driving- all good except a harmonic/fine vibration through steering column at 30 and 60mph regardless of road surface.

Giving it to dealer next week for some of the above plus a few other things like the satellite antennae TSB, tranny shifting TSB, possibly loose tranny bell housing bolts, false blind spot TSB, ACC/FCW Service Required warnings, HVAC Blower squeals on setting of 7, Blank/blue back-up camera screens and oil dip-stick tube leaking at base.

BTW, I LOVE this thing! The stereo ROCKS, technology is very useful, looks great, is sporty AND cush and is generally very fun to drive. I also installed a Corsa Cat-Back exhaust and it really sounds awesome. It is so fun getting in the throttle and just watching all the heads snap as they look for the "hot rod"....so funny when they realize it's a Jeep! BTW, if you want a Corsa for your '14 Summit Hemi the only way you can get one is to PM me. You can check out the specs, pics and videos in the Mod Write Ups sub forum.

Thank you for the feedback. Glad everything worked out for you. Traded my 2012 Dark Red Altitude 4x4 5.7 for a 2014 White/Brown Summit 4x4 5.7 (May 2013 build date) on 12/31/13 and am very happy. No problems at all but I can't say the same for the 2012. I think a lot of times from reading these forums it is just the luck of the draw. Enjoy and good luck getting it the way you want and deserve.

Rejecting delivery? - I've mentioned before on the forum people should look over the vehicle carefully before they take delivery.

"Corporate" quality issues? - The car should be within specifications and operating as designed.
"Dealer" pre-delivery issues? - Granted, ideally, the vehicle should not need anything done to it, but we do pay the dealer to "check the vehicle over" before they deliver the vehicle. Any work needed, such as warranty and transportation claims, is covered.

Buying a vehicle from an out-of town dealer? - I hope it works out for you.

Our webform/email system not accepting photos? Not sure if it's the software itself or a decision by IT or another department not to allow any attachments.
Wow! As a potential new buyer, of everything I've read so far on this forum, these comments above give me the most pause. I'm actually looking to purchase from an out of town dealer. You hope it works out for me? Should not the quality of the product be the same across the board from dealer to dealer? Or am I reading this wrong? I'm sorry, but this is really a bad attitude from someone who is even distantly representing the manufacturer. It makes me want to steer away. Guess I should go ahead and say that I've always driven a different US brand truck or SUV. Though not perfect, I've purchased from a variety of dealers, and always had "good luck".

I hear ya, singularly, that response does give you a little pause. But in the context of JeepCares other responses and certainly their body of work in the last 2 years they do have a very helpful attitude and seem pretty focused on helping as much as they can in an old school dealer network environment.

This is a very generalized comment but US automakers are still stuck in the old way of doing things, whereby, if their stuff is selling and they have green on the bottom line, "what's the problem?"... Push come to shove, they're right as the market communicates by not buying or doing so in a manner that red is on the bottom line. But this approach blinds them (esp dealers) to the undercurrents that can cause them severe Biz issues like slow shifts toward the competition, etc...JeepCares is right that the dealer is, unfortunately, the VOC (voice of the customer) and they cant see the long-term benefit of doing that job properly lest they be labeled complainers, etc....the auto environment is a don't rock anything world a lot of times....

I love JGC's and will continue to buy them as long as they make sense for desires.... Presently trying to decide if I will b picking up a '15 SRT or ordering a '16...ahh, first world problems....

Yeah, that was my bad for jumping on an almost 2 year old thread. Love to see the communication, and have seen some excellent work by JeepCares. Especially good since I just drove home my new JGC last night! It's got just over 300 miles on it, and I'd say 275 were put on by me!

Kudos to JeepCares

Not sure where to post this....
After a number of issues with my 2014 JGC Overland, including a new tranny at @ 7,500 miles, I was debating trading it in before the warranty runs out next April. I have always like the vehicle, but not the ongoing service concerns.
As a result of my postings on the Jeep Forum, Jeep Cares reached out and provided an extended warranty at no charge.
I am very pleased with the attention paid to my problems and their following up to make it right.
Thank you to JeepCares.
