2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Fuel

My research continues for a new vehicle! Wondering what type of fuel the 2014 V6 requires? Regular or Premium? If regular, does premium increase performance or does it not matter?

Are the EPA gas mileage numbers accurate?

Putting premium in any vehicle that does not require it is a flat out waste of money no matter what vehicle it is going in. V6's require 87, hemi's 89 is recommended but they will run fine on 87.

Rarely if ever for gas engine, on incredibly rare occasions for a turbo gas engine, and sometimes a diesel especially a turbo diesel in HD pick up will surpass the EPA numbers on the highway. EPA numbers are for comparison purposes only and are not derived from real world use.

I always see better than EPA mileage, even when they were more inflated, regardless of make or model. Most here don't see EPA estimates, however. Its getting harder and harder to do as more and more ethanol gets loaded into our fuel. How close the WK2 comes to the EPA estimate for you is about the same as any other vehicle.

What EPA numbers are you looking at for hd pickups? They aren't rated mileage wise... I have beat the epa's estimate on every vehicle I have owned except my truck.

I was gonna ask the same thing. HD pickups are exempt from EPA ratings. Dave2202ti has been know to take the gloomy attitude towards everything though. I guess every forum will have a few people like that
