If you're experiencing the issue log a ticket with Chrysler's DriveUConnect.com Tech Support. They'll open a case for you and see the issue through. This way you don't have to just show up and surprise the dealership.

Thanks, I will work on this. Is it a hassle to get them on the phone and explain the problem?

Oops. Instructions.

1. Download file. It's about 550 MB.
2. Load onto USB flash drive with nothing else, even no directories.
3. Start Heep. Hit "Accept" on Uconnect. Plug in flash drive to USB port down below HVAC stuff. When it asks if you want to upgrade, touch "yes" on the screen.
4. Watch the status bars as it downloads off the flash drive and auto installs everything.
5. The system will automatically reboot.

Voila, it works. the whole process took be about 5 minutes once I finished waiting on the download.

I've since driven 4 different times and BT automatically connected to my phone each time, and ACTUALLY REMEMBERED MY PHONE!

I got the update from the UConnect website and the instruction manual was there too. I am all fixed! Works perfect and no issues!

I put my info in on the uconnect site and it said no updates were available...

Put your VIN info and it will find the update. I know 1slosvt said he put his info into it and it didn't work but my info did. I don't know what year/make/model this update is supposed to cover.

I just picked up a 2014 Overland last night and was looking out for these issues -- so far none reported -- it paired OK with my iPhone 4.

I believe the issues people are having are with the 5" screen not the 8.4" Uconnect unit.

Mine is a '14 Laredo with the 5.0 and my phone is the iphone4 with the latest update. I dunno why it said nothing is available but hopefully it'll change soon.

I checked the uconnect site again and the update was available so I went ahead and upgraded. Everything seems to be working fine now!

Anyone happen to have real link for the update or could post it? When i try through UConnect i get this message... "There are no updates available for your 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO X 4X4 equipped with the Uconnect 5.0 AM/FM/BT radio." Not sure if the dealer marked it as updated and didn't fix it or they are just bad at keeping up with versions that have been applied during assembly. Or if anyone that got the update would be willing to PM a last 8 that works.

I have to say this has been annoying, but I guess thats what you get when you decide to release a new product thats built on top of a Microsoft product...

As far as I know, there's no update for the 5.0, and they pulled the update for the 8.4.

bumping back this thread!

iOS 6.1.4 on my new iPhone and experiencing the same problems with uconnect 13.12.1. Brand new jeep purchased about a week ago and pairing is inconsistent and a nightmare. Anyone have any solutions/workarounds or ideas on when this will be resolved? Uconnect hotline support people are worthless!
