2014 GC Summit Diesel shimmy

It's always had one, pretty mild. Had new Michelin LTXs installed at Tire Rack and asked about it. I was told that one of their employees has the same complaint and that they had been working on it for a while. The CS Manager said that in the course of his research he found that there was a hub recall for vehicles built up to Feb. of '14 but that the employee's was built in March and mine was built in May.

It really only occurs at around 62mph and not all the time. Thinking ball joints or tie rod ends. Just over 50,000 miles on the vehicle.

Thoughts?

My 20s will shimmy once in awhile, while my 18 winter tires are smooth as silk. Its probably either a tire or wheel thing in my case, but most likely a tire thing. Being a tire shop, they probably checked the wheel for roundness. You also can have a slightly rough running engine. The WK2 may be more sensitive to certain types of tire defects than others. Seems like any little thing can be felt.

I'm confident that it is neither the wheels or the tires as they have been checked.Upon performing the wiggle test (grabbing the tire while the vehicle is jacked up), I noticed a little top to bottom compliance on the left wheel and front to rear on the right wheel.

Well its a common discussion topic here, you should be able to search and find all kinds of opinions. Have you tried another set of wheels? I wouldn't be so confident until you do. Also hows the alignment, as that can amplify a tire/wheel issue? Road force balance?

Alignment is perfect, road force balanced and indexed at Tire Rack HQ. Exactly the same shimmy as with the horrible OEM Goodyears.

Shimmy after hitting a bump or only at certain speeds.
