2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with AC problem

I am having issues with my AC and from what I have found out it seems the evaporator is freezing up but how do I fix it so it runs normal? It will be running fine for a random amount of time then the fan will still keep blowing normal but minimal air will be coming out of the vents. I shut the jeep off for a bit and then it is fine again. There seems to be and excessive amount of water underneath after it sits. It's really cold air when it's working and sometime it takes just a few minutes and other times it takes an hour or more before it acts up. Please help.

Need to recharge the unit. Low refrigerant will cause it to freeze up.

Make sure the TSB has been applied. On longer drives, mine would freeze up and the TSB fixed it.

Could be low on charge, another common cause is restricted air flow, if you have a cabin air filter, check it. or just change it, sometimes the evaporator itself is just dirty.

Hi sirmacer,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.
