Owner Manual Addendum - Important Notice - Export Models Only
2011 (WK) Grand Cherokee (International Markets)
2011 (JC) Journey (International Markets)
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built with a 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel Engine or 2.0L I4 Turbo Diesel Engine (sales code EXF or EBT).
An Owner's Manual Addendum (OMA) about oil change reset procedure of the Owners Manual is available for the vehicles listed above.

This Addendum provides information about the Electronic Vehicle Information
Center (EVIC) “Oil Change Due” in section 4 of the vehicles Owners Manual.
Oil Change due 2.0L/3.0L Diesel Engines
Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change indicator system. The “Oil Change Due” message will display in the EVIC for five seconds after a single chime has sounded at the start of each ignition that an oil change is due. The engine oil change indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the engine oil change interval may fluctuate depending upon your personal driving style.
Unless reset, this message will continue to display each time you cycle the ignition to the ON/RUN position. To turn off the message temporarily, press and release the MENU button. To reset the oil change indicator system (after performing the scheduled maintenance), perform the following:
1. Cycle the ignition to the “ON/RUN” position (Do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it fully depressed for at least 30 seconds.
3. Press and release the brake pedal six times while holding the accelerator pedal pressed.
4. Perform one ignition OFF-ON cycle, start the engine and verify that the reminder has been reset.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil
change indicator system did not reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.
