Question 2011 grand Cherokee brake controller wiring

Hi,

We just got a 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo with a factory installed hitch and 7 and 4 way wiring harness. We want to it an electric brake controller in it for our trailer, and can't find the plug for it under the dash anywhere. Is it possible it doesn't have one? I assumed it would since the tow package was factory.

The plug is hard to find and see, had to use a flashlight to find it the first time. It is behind the kick panel, just to the right of the e-brake pedal, about a palm length up. It is light gray in color and rectangular. I can usually plug the controller in using one hand now that I know where it is located.

Yea, it's hard to find...the first time.

BTW, Tekonshia has pre-terminated cables for their excellent brake controllers that are totally plug and play...very convenient. I use the P3 controller.
