In my 2011 parts book, there is only one master cylinder part number. There are a couple more ABS control unit part numbers than can be explained by left/right hand drive, however. None are coded BR1, BR6 or BRY, so probably nothing to do with HD brakes.

I used to design brakes for TRW so my guess is that the standard vs HD are the same size of piston in the caliper or they would have probably changed the master cylinder. I would suspect ABS tuning to be different from Standard vs HD brakes as they have a different amount of stopping force and contact area.

I learned recently that none of the Laredos have HD brakes (vented rears), just the Limited and Overland V8s.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, my WK with factory tow has solid rear rotors and it tows just fine. My boat trailer has surge brakes and you can't even feel it back there. I also towed a 3000 lb cargo trailer without brakes and it stopped fine even at highway speeds.

I have a 2013 Altitude 5.7L with the standard brakes. If I am gathering this all correctly...to upgrade to the HD package...all I would need is the two rotor adapters/brackets for the front, front rotors and rear rotors? Does that sound correct? I wouldn't be doing it until I needed a rotor change up front. Would I notice a 20mm difference in rotor size?
