Why, oh why is this not constant power?

I assume they did it so folks would not drain their batteries, but still.

Dunno about 2014s, but 2011-2013s owners manual has the following note:

"NOTE: The rear power outlet can be switched to “bat- tery” powered all the time by switching the power outlet right rear quarter panel fuse in the fuse panel."

You can apologize to to your WK2 for your rant at any time, I'm sure she would appreciate it
