The actual commercial came to me, it was the Subaru Legacy commercial.

That commercial killed millions of hipster's hearts.

I've heard it played on the radio, recently.

Depends on my mood. "Army" by Ben Folds is almost literally the story of my life, but not my definite theme. Some others I think qualify:

Pride-Soil (This would probably be my #1 choice)
Whiskey in the Jar-Metallica
Amongst the Waves-Pearl Jam
The Science of Selling Yourself Short-Less Than Jake
Call Me-Shinedown

Man cruising on an empty road blasting some tunes...let the list go on!

(songs will pretty much identify "moods")
White Zombie-Thunderkiss 65'
HankIII-Straight to Hell or Crazed Country Rebel
Pantera-I'm Broken
Slayer-Angel of Death/Raining Blood/pretty much anything from them!
Megadeth-Entire Rust in Peace Album
Metallica-Entire Kill em' All Album
Henry Rollins-Low Self Opinion/Tearing Us Apart
G.G. Allin-Bite it You Scum
Grateful Dead-Casey Jones
Joe Walsh-Rocky Mountain Way
James Gang-Funk #49
The Allman Brothers-Tied to the Whipping Post
Jack Johnson-Anything from him
Gary Jules-Mad World

That's all that comes to mind as of right now...strange array of music there ha-ha! I guess it goes crazy, party and then calm and collected.

If I had one song to sum up my life it doesn't exist...I'm married with a child, house and two dogs...got anything for that? I think Walsh had a song about picking up dog **** or something.

Also depends on my mood, but you can never go wrong with Skynyrd. Lately, it has been a mix of Pantera, Motorhead and some Allman Brothers. Pretty much all over the place.

OK, that's a strange mix! You should try listening to Frank Zappa sometime, if you haven't already. I enjoy him because he's essentially a fusion of nearly all of the different styles I like.

Well, since I *have* one of those playlists, here is a brief selection:
Sometimes The Line Walks You - Murder By Death
Shiola - Murder By Death
Down By The Water - The Decemberists
Conversation With The Devil - Ray Wylie Hubbard
Lungs - Steve Earle covering Townes Van Zandt
A Country Boy Can Survive - Hank Williams, Jr.
I Hung My Head - Johnny Cash
The Man Comes Around - Johnny Cash
Unchained - Johnny Cash
Will The Circle Be Unbroken - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Paint It Black - Rolling Stones
The Sounds of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
California Dreaming - The Mamas and the Papas

Just to name a few. The entire playlist is about 180 songs long, and it is entitled "Long Way To Go".

Tom Waites has an awesome voice, I like "the piano has been drinking" and I grew up listening to Frank Zappa's T*****s and Beer .. I tend to like more hard rock / metal when cruising..Rob Zombie's living dead girl .. Diturbed, or if i'm out late and a bit tired or just relaxing I get into a more mellow groove- Like the older country stuff, Willie Nelson,Hank,George Jones
