Theyve dramatized everything and made it boring.

I will agree it is dragging on a bit with the drama but I understand there has to be "builder" episodes to get to the good stuff. Only what 3 episodes left? So it's gonna be epic and I can't wait.

I'm thinking Milton/Hershel & Daryl/Martinez interaction will come into play later.

I was actually hoping Andrea would come back to the family but I'm sure when Andrea returns it will involve a bit of fireworks.

I actually like the drama they're including in the recent episodes. Yes, the action is lacking but these episodes allow the audience to become more attached to each character & our hate/fondness for each character grows.

So, when something big happens in the show it has greater effect & keeps the audience coming back for more. The story lines will keep people tuning in rather than pointless action & walker killings each week. I like action as much as anyone but if there isn't a story behind the action the show will only have one plot ; avoiding walkers. Whether we want to admit it or not all of us would've quit watching after 4-5 episodes.

On a side note I'm starting to really enjoy the character depth of Merle.

Merle was the only one who made any sense. They should have hit the meeting and ended it right then and there,

I agree there needs to be character depth but dragging on a feud for an entire season is getting old. Meryl was spot on with his preemptive attack. I'm digging the unspoken messages between Meryl and Daryl. Hopefully they can mix in some action in these next two episodes before the finale... but if they continue to drag this out for 2 more episodes I'm gonna loose interest real fast.

Is it weird that I'm beginning to really like Meryl? Sure he's a psycho, but he was definitely right when he said they should have killed Gov right then and there.

Read the comic. 18 or so comics by now (basically 1 comic = 1 season), 1 hour to read each..... you will be caught up with where the creater's mind is and spend a lot less time. In the comic, it is comic 3 meet woodbury, comic 4 cross paths. I prefer character development just as the show is going. Ill keep watching as many seasons as they will film!

How long is it going to be before Daryl and the Governor's henchman that he spoke to end up pointing guns at each other after they 'had a moment'?

I don't get why people don't understand that. Zombies really aren't the focus of the show they're the environment.

100% correct. I tried to make that point a dozen or so pages back. It was met with childish resistance. There's a wide mix of people posting on here. Some of them just want zombie porn, and aren't actually worried about, or capable of processing or appreciating the story as a whole. It's really a show about a post apocalyptic world, where the zombies are the trigger, not the plot. When you break it down like that, it's not much different than, say "Revolution" or "Falling Skies". They're all about surviving a post-apocalyptic world, they just involve a different set of antagonists.

Not only that they set up for some pretty intense last few episode especially judging by the preview. Another thing is it would get old way to fast if it was just 45 minutes of zombie slaying. It's a crucial way to build a long story line and set up for more and more seasons. And btw I was going to mention falling skies...big fan can't wait for the next season

Walking Dead, Falling Skies, and Revolution are hands down my 3 favorite shows on tv right now...
...
Now that I think about it, that's probably more telling than I meant it to be. There's probably something wrong with me...

Ok for all you blatantly obvious drama lovers, I get it you want a show that is just like every other show on everychannel of this age, lots and lots of drama. Even going past character development, to add in drama for the sake of drama. Thats cool and all its what keeps the hordes of you interested each week. But the part that is getting missed lately by the hardcore zombie lovers is the SHOCK. Thats what the zombies are for, not ambiance but that shock moment which should be in each episode where a zombie almost makes you ruin your shorts, it doesnt have to be constantly but it has to happen. This episode i thought it would happen during the love scene, it would been perfect. Scary and funny at the same time. That would have made the whole conference scene more palletable.

Drama moves the story along, the apocolyptic enviroment takes you to another world comic relief keeps you feeling happy, and since your immersed in a new world, filled in on a story, chuckling comfortably, then all of a sudden the zombies flip your wig and leave you begging to know next week how everyone dealt with the mad sh** life with the walking dead has dealt them.

Thats how it should be done and has been done on some of the best episodes, Too much drama and your bored, too much gore and your desensitized, too much comedy and it gets repetitive. Get a perfect mix and you show will last forever. Like this one should. I have not read the comics, im into comics but, havent read these. What I want out of this show is for it to grow. I want to see it age. We have never really seen a zombie scenario lead into a second generation. If this show lasts 10 years I think that is possible. Carl grown up taking on group responsability. Hesrchel gying of old age and havin to be put down by maggie. "The future is unwritten, there is no fate but what we make." -Sarah Connor
