If Shane hadn't done that then both of them and Carl would have died. By sacrificing Otis he saved himself and Carl. It's the social dilemma. Do you sacrifice one for the greater good of the whole?

Dude they had at least 50 feet on those zombies. They could have made it! Shane pussied out!!! What a ****! I hope he takes off on his own now. Once you start down that road its hard to come back from it.

just out of curiosity, the dude who got bit and hung himself lets assume he didnt get bit but still hung himself then a walker came by and bit him would he turn?

on a more show related note why did he kill him i agree it looked like they had atleast 50 ft on the walkers before he shot him in the leg.

I really enjoy the show and look forward to each episode, but I do have one question:

Who has been mowing the grass around that house??

These episodes are going down hill. Last season I believe was way better.

I thought the same thing about them having distance on the zombies! He lost ground by doing it, and there was a bus right there he probably could have taken.

Look at how long it took him to struggle with him...had they been in a real threat situation those zombies would have been all over both of them. Also, what's up with Shane thinking that he has some sort of special relationship with Rick's wife? He keeps asking her if he should stay...awkward.

I really want to see the complete first season...I'm going to have to pick that up off of Amazon or something.

Around which house? The farm house?

I just discovered this show last week. In one day, I watched all of season 1 on Netflix, and am completely caught up in season 2. This is by far one I the greatest zombie shows ever!!!! Any one have any suggestions for good zombie movies, or books?

I'd imagine that Shane informing Rick's wife that her husband was dead would have built something up throughout the whole season between them...coming into season 2 without watching season 1 is not favorable.

The essentials;

Night of the Living Dead (Romero)
Dawn of the Dead (Romero)
Day of the Dead (Romero)
Land of the Dead (Romero)
Night of the Living Dead (Savini)(I appreciate this re-make)
Zombi (Fulci)
The Gates of Hell (Fulci)(sort of zombie esque)
The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue a.k.a. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Cemetery Man (zombie esque as well)
Return of the Living Dead
The Dead Next Door (fun low budget...think Troma style)
Shaun of the Dead
Dead Alive a.k.a. Brain Dead
Dead Snow (Looked decent...haven't seen yet)

That's about all I can come up with off hand...

I also am catching up on this series. We watched the first four episodes of season one this weekend. Pretty good show!!! Its also cool seeing shots from the around Atlanta seeing as we live there. Right now they are filming near my friends house in Coweta County. They are always looking for extra's. I may just have to go be a zombie...lol.
