I listen to quite a bit of Icelandic music

for example:

Sigur Ros
Pall Oskar
Hjaltalin
Mum
FM Belfast
Agent Fresco
Bang Gang
Ampop
Olafur Arnalds
Parachutes
Stafrćnn Hákon
Sólstafir

and anything Michael Pärt Musik has done is incredible

That is just to name a few.....

I've posted about them in other threads - but Muse is awesome. Particularly their older stuff; Origin of Symmetry is a phenomenal album, probably my favorite of all time. These English chaps can rock.

A few years back I remember hearing some of their songs (off of their Absolution album which did decent in the USA) on an alternative station in my area - it's since been put off the air. I wasn't into the band at the time; only in the past year or so.

Last week a nightly national rock radio program (Lou Brutus if you've heard of him) played Muse - I was pretty excited to hear it on the air.

"Dark Shines" on OoS gives me the chills every time I hear it.
