Were you at Corry Station in FL for that training? I'm a Cryptologic Technician in the Navy and there are some Army (And Marines & AF) down here going through the same curriculum but I don't know what that MOS is.

From what I understand there are two different initial entry training schools down there, and at least one long term tdy. The army is currently reclassing people and sending them down there for something different than what i trained for. However the marines I work with trained down there.

Ah, gotcha. Where did you get your schooling for your MOS?

Anyone know if trance_junkie made his decision? I know this thread kind of got hijacked, but it would be interesting to find out. If you do still follow this...

If you choose to go officer and want to be on an ODA, it will be several years before you get the chance to try out for it at selection. You have to be a 1st LT (promotable to CPT) before they will let you go to selection. Then you have to go to the Infantry Officers course before you can go to the SFQC. Finally after all of that is done... you MIGHT get two years on a team before you are kicked up to Company level for some staff job.

Being enlisted on a team is way better (so I've heard anyways)
