Good luck. I've seen what the airmen have to go through while I was in Kodiak. I'm also friends with a lot of AST's. How long is the A school waiting period?

Hahaha!! They were always more comfortable to fly in, especially loaded with Aids to navigation gear. The 65 is fun but it doesn't work unless you leave the swimmer.

The 65 is a RC helicopter compared to a 60. I take it you've been to Kodiak? I might head up that way during transfer season.

Yep was there for a full tour. 1/2 at the Airsta when they controlled the training boat. The other half at the ANT that took over the training boat ( 41' UTB ). Loved it up there. Wish I could get the wife to go back. Best fishing and hunting I've ever seen. 45 minutes of fishing and a limit of 5 sockeye salmon. 2 hours for 5 silver salmon. Can't be beat.

I'm not looking forward to it very much... The wait is about 6 months

Not too bad. Do you have any idea which airstation you're going to be at for your airman program?

I haven't gotten my orders yet, pretty sure I'll be in Detroit Michigan.

It was pretty awesome but I tore a cv boot and packed it full of mud. So I need to go get a new one.. It's not too expensive though.
