Yeah,
I've slung those missiles below the phrog and have seen them sit in the tubes silently for years without ever being used. Hunter

Sorry, I thought someone had asked about including Merchant Marines in the Navy Club, I just didn't know much about it, just that some civilians did sail with USNS's. My ship sailed a lot with the Seattle out of Norfolk between 98 and 2003 (when I was aboard)

I think you should qualify! But can you have a hull number with no hull? How is the Master Jet Base? I was there in the late eighties attached to VF-33 (decommissioned now).

Some of you PM'ed me and said go ahead so I will take #30. I am probably going to get a yj next year cant afford a tj besides I am keeping the saturn to help with gas costs and its already paid for so why get rid of a good daily driver. I just hope I can find one at a good price I dont mind if the motor is blown or if the body is rough as long as the frame is in good shape and I can make it street legal ( I am putting ILL tags on it so I don't have to get it inspected)I am fine I like this jeep
its the one on the black rim thread in picture requests. it has all the body mods I want and I wouldn't mind painting it flat black. ![]() Last edited by hazegry; 11-21-2005 at 01:23 AM.. |

Wow
So, does anyone here have any stories about grandparents or parents from the old Navy? I had a grandfather on the Midway and one on a small tender that he never told me much about. My mothers uncle was killed on the USS Goldsborough during a training excercise during Viet Nam. My grandpa on the Midway was a deck seaman and loved it. My other GPA was a Mess Cook in the 50's. I was on the Monterey for 5 years (98-03) and ended up going to 5 Continents, 20-something countries and what seemed like a lifetime of memories in a short period of time. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'll be getting out in 6 months, but not because I hate it, just time to turn the page. Goin back to Texas 2006! Anyone have any good sea-stories?

#38?
I'm a mid also, but I'm a *****ass 4/C, so I never get to rip on my 94 YJ sahara with 2" crappy RC lift and 31" swamper TSLs, with a little fender hacking to top it off. I am originally from MA. I am a tall bastard and might have to go restricted line, if I do, I am thinking Construction Battalion. So do I get Hull #38?
