Staten Island, NYC. Get the F#!? out of here!!! I was born across the bay on Rahway New Jersey and lived in Colonia New Jersey. The Old man was born in Brooklyn NY. Welcome aboard mate. Now get down to the scullery and start scrubbing the deck! LOL

I was stationed at Naval Station Staten Island. When we got there, the only thing they had was the long-*** pier that our CO insisted on parking at the end, bow out. Had a fantastic view of Manhattan skyline almost every morning though. I kinda miss that place.

They've recently torn down the majority of the buildings there. It was being used for some form of courts, but now it's nothing and the FDNY is using the pier now

Haha aye aye, my cousin is actually living in colonia now, also a navy man, was reporting to the NOSC in the Bronx, but last I spoke too him he said something about whatever unit he switched too in NJ is being disbanded or something like that, I can't quite remember last time I saw him was thanksgiving. so he's going active duty and trying to switch over to the corps.

Hull #232 active, E5 Aviation Electronics Technician, stationed out of Lemoore, CA at the moment, just back after a tour FDNF aboard the USS George Washington.

Another AT. I used to believe ATs were here so the AWs could have dancing partners...until I had to convert to AW..now I guess the joke's on me.

I was given a choice..stay AE and quit being an Aircrewman. Or take the conversion to AWF. I like the flying part so I stayed..the lack of promotion is the trade off.
