Oh yeah, as a DEPer, can I get a hull #?

Dam Neck, VA for MK-160 (CG) "C"
San Diego, CA aboard USS Bunker Hill (CG-52) around the beginning of April or the end of March with any luck.

I know this thread is kinda old, but I just came across it and I'm curious... How does someone who has not even gone to boot camp let alone HM A School identify themselves as an HN in the USN. By dates, you might be in HM A school as I type this, but until you actually graduate you are not an HM. Additionally, I truely hope that the ink in your picture is not of your own ink as it includes a fouled anchor, one that has to be earned when advancing to Chief.

You're a little too serious about this stuff, HM1.

Also, would like to update my information. The Navy gave me another NEC to play with. So, instead of CG-52 in April, I will be going to Dalgrehn, VA for SPY-2 Radar schooling.

They just love to load on the education when it comes to me...

you can get fouled CPO anchors tatted all day as a young Sailor, it'll just make initiation a little more interesting if you get selected for Chief

Not sure what the post you deleted said, but I'll assume I might not have agreed with it.

I was quoting the wrong response you thats all. But I agree with you, I do take it seriously... and Mudvain... well he is a retired Chief, so he does too.... People get in trouble all the time for impersonating something that they are not, and largely impersonating military.

Do I believe that he had ill intention, absolutely not. However, he identified himself as an HN in the USN when he was still 6 months from leaving for boot camp, and hadn't even been near HM A school. You dont get to wear the title of HM until graduation day, which is 14 weeks from the day you start barring no set backs.

So I'm sorry if I'm coming off too serious, but after having served almost 17 years (will be 17 on Dec 22) I think I have earned that right.
