Never seen this thread before.. Thanks for your service and sacrifice. My brother - a Marine spent several years over there. He doesn't like to talk much about his time in Iraq.

Great pictures - thanks for sharing.

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfunction or uninstall themselves at any time.

What exactly was your job description? Branch? You have pics on carriers, of convoys, crowd control, weapons caches. I'm guessing special forces?

Marine Corps. Oorah!

I was with Task Force Tarawa. My unit was 8th Communications Battalion. Our unit is mainly known for The battle of An Nasiriyah and the rescue of U.S. Army Private Jessica Lynch. We were a forward unit.

I enlisted as a Network Administrator. Since I rode/raced Crotch Rockets and ATV's in my off time I was allowed to go through the combat courier school early on. While in Iraq I pulled duty as that as well as a Network Admin and a few other billets. I did everything from running radio wire to clearing buildings. Marines dont really have just one job. Thats what makes us so effective.
