looking for Air Force insight

Hello everyone!

I am looking at joining the AF and wondered if anyone would give me some honest opinions. I am 26 years old, single and have a four year college degree in business management. 3.0 gpa, 3.4 gpa in major. I have great work experience in my field and I am physically fit.

I want to do something with my life that is more than just making money but want to maximize my opportunities at the same time. I am currently in communication with a recruiter and OTS contact. What should I expect and what should I be asking for.

Thanks much and god bless.

Start putting together your OTS package. I can send you the copy of the application that I have if you'd like. Study for and schedule your AFOQT, and start getting 5 awesome letters of recommendation. Check out airforceOTS.com

Im letting you know right now, they are cutting officers left and right. Im not saying its impossible, but last cycle they took 1/3 the normal enlisted packages as previous years. If you cant get through, look at the Air National Guard. They are still military, and generally do the same thing as Air Force but are state based. I work with Guard guys and let me tell you, they live a good life (aside from this dumb sequestration). Good luck with whatever you decide!

SOLD- '13 JKR with lots of goodies
Current- '98 TJ Sahara: build coming in October
