Find me an actual legit Military or Dept of Defense reference to a current Army Base in operation and then you can prove me wrong.
Do you believe everything you read in the press?
I will bet I am more published in Military papers than those writers and I have more of a history with the Army then they do.
Rhein-Main Air Base, I am pretty sure that is an Air Force base, not Post, Camp or Fort.

No, it was an Army "installation". I know this because my father was stationed there.

Dude, whether they call them bases or not. I couldn't care less and you're just carrying on with something that means nothing now. Just let it go.

Okay first, I could give two ****s. I'm not taking orders from some hardass over the internet. This thread was here to let people know I enlisted and that I was happy to do so. Not for some hot headed prick to come in here talking ****. I'll call it whatever the **** I want, Thank you. BTW, Marines and Navy training is Bootcamp...Army is Basic training You should do more of the keeping your mouth shut part bud. Have a good weekend
|
Thats the attitude! You should print this thread and tape it to the inside of your drawers because if you actually show up, reality is going to kick you in the teeth. At that point your going to do one of two things. A. Act like you are now and eventually get tossed B. Start to realize what it is that Im talking about.

Your right, that got way out of hand. Doenst matter.
As far as the comment to you, I was not trying to be an ***, just an attepmt explain that privileges are going to be earned. And compared to how things are going to get for you, I was being extremly polite. Almost motherly..

It's whatever now. I've had a rough week so I guess that fueled that one post you quoted. Don't think anything of it.

I cant believe Im going to reply, but here it goes. Thank God its slow today. Otherwise I wouldnt have so much time to participate in such a tantalizing and intellectually challenging conversation.
Yes, your right. Thats becasue Ft Benning is an Army Base. So is Ft Carlson, Ft Dix, Ft Drum, Ft Irwin, Ft Polk and Ft Riley.
Ross, are you sure you have a military background?

This got ridiculous. I called it that before I went as well. I stopped when I left, and to be honest think that he has the right to call it whatever he wants. He's the one that's going to be digging a hasty in those woods soon. I think its ridiculous to even bring it up. Maybe you're bored?
And why play semantics about the installation? Have you ever said "im going back to fort?" I personally say going back to base. Or going back to the base.

If you really do wish it to be deleted, I can do it for you.
BOT: I have been to FT Leonard Wood many times. My Dad lives ~20 miles away in St James (he's a retired Chief, same as I am). He uses the medical and shopping facilities regularly. We usually spend a few hours there whenever I visit him.
When there, if you go to St James and visit the VFW, you'll probably run into my Dad (Jerry). If so, have him buy you a beverage.
