Anybody's base out there either losing or gaining any aircraft or personnel with the latest round of BRAC. Only Air Force bases that I saw that are closing are Cannon AFB and where I'm currently stationed, Ellsworth AFB

I'm glad they are closing Cannon AFB. Nobody liked that place. It was 100 miles from everywhere and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce tried to milk the GIs for every penny they made. They called themselves the "Comittee of Fifty", but we all called them the "Shifty Fifty". The only good thing about that place was that I could finish my school there and get out. The local economy will take a hit and I feel for all of the locals, but I like seeing that happen to the "Shifty Fifty".

My class was only 6 weeks, but we also had our two week christmas exodus plus the week I was there before my class started. Wichita Falls is not too bad of a town. Not too far from Oklahoma either.

My current plan is to talk to a recruiter this summer about OCS and pilot slots; I'll have my degree in '09.
