The Renegade and Limited are both rated for 5000lb tow cap, but the Sport only 3500. I am guessing its cuz it only used 3.55 diffs. Am I correct?

All the KK's get 3.73 gears. The lower rating is from the deletion of the tow package.

Hmmmm. So it may be possible to install a Class III tow hitch on a Sport then and be rated tow 5K?

is it 4x4 and automatic. If so you can get close enough to the tow package. Two of the things you would be missing is the computer controlled sway control, and the heavy duty fan cooler. I would suggest getting the factory receiver, you have to cut the bumper (it has a cuttout for it), but it mounts higher up out of the way for any off road activity.
