Why not much aftermarket for liberty

I think there is a huge market for the libertys but there is really not much aftermarket available . I've really noticed this when it comes to engine performance . I know the pistons are weak for forced induction but I would do a rebuild so my engine could handle the boost. Just need a supercharger or turbo kit available. I'm going to prob do a custom one later after I finish my cobra .

Sounds like you answered your own question.

Try owning a Patriot.. there literally no aftermarket support. If it wasn't for RRO or Murchison Products there wouldn't even be a lift..

Now that I own a Liberty.. Theres a lot more to choose from.

Prob less than you think for the KK lol.

Want the truth?
When you mention that a good lift will cost 750-800 bucks and everyone starts running away and wanting to only do spacer lifts...............because they're cheap
Is any manufacturer going to make aftermarket parts?
Was just discussing this today with an aftermarket supplier

Well that's cause they expect prices like the wranglers where you can get 4+" of lift for that price. Will it ride great? Probably not, but you still get the lift you want and a halfway decent ride.

Either way, it just seems like alot of Liberty owners don't look into modding their Jeep. It's a smaller crowd compared to other 4x4s

I'd like to see a complete 4" lift kit for a TJ for less then $800 that is not a BB and body lift.Talking about all 8 control arms, trackbars, coils, and shocks. Then talk about long arm kits and your looking at double for the junk kits.

That's what I'm saying though. You can find a 3-4" lift for $800. Most people look at height 1st then ride, so to see that height for that price they jump. Sure the lift might ride like garbage and barely flex, but for most that just want height, that's perfect. Our Libertys get half that height for that price, but we make up for it in ride. It just doesn't appeal to the mass.

You forgot one big difference between a TJ and a KK/KJ..............................

The KK/KJ has IFS,cost's more to go above that 3.5" lift mark and have the front end last.

I know, I completely understand and accept that. I'm just stating that the majority of people don't understand that. They then see the TJs, XJs, and other Jeeps can get double our lift for the same price which turns them away

Ya gotta pay to play when ya have a Liberty.

tommudd 06-29-2013 04:36 PM

To do it right you have to pay with any 4 wheel drive
Sure you can lift a Cherokee, TJ/CJ for 6-800 and I've done it, removed it and went more expensive and much better
Look at AEV lifts for the JKs

xxxxxxxxxxxxSmetna 07-01-2013 08:48 AM

Here's your answer: There are FAR fewer KK's than there are KJ's or other jeeps. The Aftermarket community goes after the biggest schools of fish
