What kind of lift do you have?

Saw something interesting in a post. Title says it all. Are you a penny pincher or did you go the extra mile?

Ordered my OME/Bilstein lift. Just waiting on the shocks now, should have them by Monday then installing when I get the time. I went all out and got the springs, shocks, a arms, and all the little tricks for extra height

OME 927s/731s with Bilsteins

Started with a Daystar lift at 2500 miles, then slowly pieced together the good parts.

Helm, just out of curiosity, how come the bilstein shocks over the OME's?

AtTheHelm 06-29-2013 10:44 AM

They cost less but still good quality.

Wow thought the Bilstein would be more expensive.

HD front, medium rear. Nothing added. (Tom's Econo lift)

They aren't too bad at ~180 front ~140 rear if you shop around.

Coil lift 6, spacer lift 0. I figured I would get these results because A) I think people who lift their Jeeps don't do it all for looks and the coil performs much better and B) people with spacer lifts are too embarrassed to admit it

I figured the same thing. We know there's people with spacer lifts, so they aren't fessing up

Rock father 3.5 lift right now. Over a year old now problems. Will do a full suspension lift though as I want more height and springs and shocks are original 2008

The folks with coil lifts are more "into" their rigs and off-roading, and hence, come to the forums more often. The guys that don't want to spend that much, don't stop by the forums as much. That could be why no one has voted for spacers yet.

I hope ya sold the Daystar by now. I think a few weeks ago someone was looking for one.

I owned up to my daystar lift lol. Not the best lift but works and does the job for now. Wish I could find a bigger lift though and not worry about breaking stuff all the time

Full spring is bigger than a Daystar and doesn't wear out shocks and UCAs either like a spacer lift does
