Thanks, for the compliment; it is high, but it is sitting on Jeep cross bars. I still have about 5 1/2" of clearance before it hits the top of the garage entrance lol.

Evenutally will be mounting lights, shovel and possible an axe.

$313 for the side rails and cross bars with tax and shipping... Way less than what the dealership quoted and what the mopar side rails and thule/yakima set up would have been.

Those are nice crossbars! When mine break or bend I will be looking at those rocky road ones. I love the Yakima Basket though paid $36 dollars for it used Also picked up the extension and light mounts.

Yakima rack should fit on these cross bars. I got the whole kit from them and it was a great experience! Delivered exactly a week and great construction.

Yup, it was at an REI garage sale. The fairing was missing so I called Yakima and they sent me a replacement for $36 including shipping. The original customer returned it to the store to replace with a cargo box.
I used quite a bit when I was bringing supplies to my gf's house, when Super storm Sandy decided to move the bay to her house.

Made me a cross bars set for on the top. Used some 1/2 pipe and end caps from Home Depot. Plasti dipp sprayed the crap out of it. Mounted it by 1/4 bolts threaded into the stock bars on their and red loctited it good. I will see how it does for a couple weeks and decide if I want to thru bolt it or not.

Gone use it for one of the small kayaks when I do not feel like towing the trailer. I really want to put a basket though.
