Cool. Thanks for the info. I forgot about checking on LOST for this.
So I can skip the dealer and just wait for some decent weather. Also, it looks like I will have to brush up on my swearing. Tying up the tank looks like it will induce some long strings.

Finally got it back from a repair at the dealership...they had it a week. The transmission pump had to be replaced and then a wiring harness took forever to get from point A to point B(the dealership.) But now it's home and I'm happy, just need to get the license plate at the MVD, then I'll get nerf bars, windows tinted, etc. One thing at a time LOL

Snow tires? Real wheels? A jeep should always have "snow" tires (read aggressive AT) tired and real wheels on it lol. Jk Nice ride.

Since the wife swiped the WK and drove it to work today I spent some time with the KK.

Nothing exceptional, fueled it up
(the WK was full of gas this morning - hhmm :-) ) then cleaned, dried, and recharged the K&N drop-in while I got the lawn mowed.

I install three out of four skid plates. I am saving the fuel tank skid for when I don't have 3/4 of a tank of gas in it. That will be heavy. Also, installed the "easy" front tow hook saving the other side until maybe next weekend. I had a problem with the nuts being out of round on these for the install and went to the Home Depot to pick up some nuts that were actually round on the inside. Again, had issues with the socket sizes not matching up for the skids and hooks. Where is all this crap made anyway? So maybe next week I will have the fuel tank skid and driver's side hook done.
Speaking of front hook, what is the easiest way to install them with the bumper in place? I found it to be quite the PITA with the amount of clearance in there.

I'm assuming you're using the M bolts, if so then yes, leave the bumper on. It's tight but it's still going to be quicker and probably easier than messing around with the bumper. When I did mine I had the brackets so I had to take the bumper off

Yes, I am using the M bolts. I spent a good portion of the day cursing trying to get my hands in there to get the nuts on. The biggest problem I had was with the nuts not being round on the inside. There was no way to get those on. The other side I am anticipating greater difficulty with the hoses there. I'll get it on, but I know I'll be cussing a lot. PM me some of your favorite swears. I may need a few more. LOL
