I put my KK on jack stands this afternoon and got the skid plates out of the shed to start putting them in. Got a tad discouraged when the hardware pack included with the fuel tank skids did not match nor fit. The dealer is looking into getting me the correct hardware. Hopefully soon. I was all set to do this today and snap pics and do a nice write up for y'all. Now i wait.

If I remember correctly, that's a known issue. You just reuse the hardware from the stock protector

Took it too the Dealership since my tow/haul button is stuck on. - they told me that I will be needing a new consul and it's on order lol. I inquired about the part needed for my radio so it can tell time accurately, there hoping the part will come in 2 weeks. I felt bad for the Jeep so I washed it lol.

My uncle sold his liberty for a brand new Grand Cherokee. So he gave me his Roof Rack for free. $230 part for free? I'll take it!

I understand the frustration. When I went to install my 4xG belly skid on the WK the hardware included wasn't matching up. Had to go to the hardware store for the right stuff.........

All in due time my friend.....

Was it strictly for the Fuel Tank Skid or was it common with all the factory skids?

My dealer wants me to bring it in to see if they can match up the proper hardware. Apparently this is an outside vendor for them and they don't have contact information for them. I will try for Wednesday morning to do this. I had beautiful weather to do it last week. I am not sure when I will have the nice weather again that coincides with my availability.

I believe it's just for the fuel tank skid. I'll try to find the thread over on lost

Edit: Here it is http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB...fuel+tank+skid

On a strange note… the nuts that came with my skid plate were too big for the threads on the skid plate??? Luckily, the nuts from the original support structure were the right size. Also all the bolts were 15mm and the nuts that didn’t fit were 18mm. The original nuts that did fit were 15mm. I don’t know where they got the 17mm and 19mm figures mentioned in the instructions.
