Very nice! How bout stopping power? activate abs at all? I ask because my silent armors are getting down to their last leg and quite frankly, i have no confidence in them going into this winter. Thus, was thinking about snow tires but the duratracs have always been an option too.

and i feel your pain about how our jeeps are going to look for the next (in my case) 6 months.

I honestly didn't try the stopping power, meaning I didn't stomp on them to see how well it braked. But I certainly didn't have any problems with not being able to perform a regular stop. The only time I kicked it into 4WD during the "storm" (just snow squalls, really) was when I had to stop on an incline for a red light. The roads had packed snow on them. Traction control has kicked on a few times but that was when I was getting on it a bit just to see how they'd do. I did travel the completely snow-covered highway in white out conditions and trucked right along. No problems with turning.

Do those mounts come with the lights? When I buy lights I want to make sure they'll come with the right brackets to connect to my bar.

Lights regardless of make (Hella/PIAA/KC), come with the basic mounts to affix them to a tube mount (like i have) or directly to a bumper.

The mounts I bought come in different sizes. See link.

I bought mine off of amazon.
IIRC, my yakima roof rack uses .75 to 1" clamps and the mopar bar uses the 1.25-1.50" clamps.

Perfect, thanks. I'll be in the marker soon for lights for my Mopar bar.

Curious why you would mount your license plate there and not on the actual bar where it's supposed to go?

Because I don't have holes behind my bumper bar and those little tabs don't give enough depth to mount the plate securely. The screws have to go though those holes and screw into the bumper. Incase I decide to remove the bar, I don't want holes in my front bumper.

Are you positive? I don't think mine screw through the bar AND the bumper.

Finally got around to adjusting my hood so it doesn't shake anymore at highway speeds.
Highly recommend people do this if they have the same problem. There are two knobs to adjust by hand. When you open the hood they are located at the top of the grille.

I bought my bar second hand & it didn't come with any screws.
Perhaps with the correct screws I can mount it, but it's awfully thin & really doesn't look like it can screw in very tight.

If yours doesn't go into the bumper, clearly its doable. I'll mess around with it, but for now, to avoid having a 'no front plate' ticket, this works & I've grown used to having it down there. Kind of like it, honestly.

Happy thanksgiving gentlemen.
