I really want to add remote start to mine, maybe this fall before winter kicks in!

Its not hard at all. Just make sure you so them in the right order. The only thing that is a PITA is the special crushing lock nuts or what ever they are called. It helps to have one person hold the plate while you tighten them up. Or use a jack. I kept having mine slip before I could get one tightened enough to stop it from being pulled out. But once I got it started it went east.

I had the factory one installed and I love it. It does have some range issues and obstacle issues though. But for the most part it works great. It has some great features like starter disengage. It wont let you accidentally crank the starter after it has been remote started. It wont start it if your fuel light is on. If your doors are unlocked it will lock them when it starts. There is a bunch of other features I just haven't figured out yet.

I installed a cb into the center console today. I removed the whole thing and drilled strategic holes in the bottom so the power and antenna wires would fit through allowing the unit to sit flush on the bottom. I have a 26" magnet antenna that I will only put out when needed. I plan on getting the through glass antenna soon.

I have used the through the window antennas in the past...save your money. You will get better service by leaving your magnetic mount sitting in your back seat.

Hummmmm!!! Four wheel drive vehicle, lift kit, aggressive off road tires, CB radio concealed in the center console next to a pair of handcuffs. I'm starting to have visions of an upcoming CSI story episode or Who Done It on a cable channel......LOL!!!
Just thinking out loud...LOL.

Lmao!! The cuffs are because I am a licensed security officer. The rest because I am a redneck who lives by work hard play harder. Oh and being ready for the impending zombie apocalypse. Always be prepared lol.

Hi Guys, I have a question. I have a Sport 4x4 model but I feel like there is not enought light when driving at night so any of you have felt your jeep to need more lights?

Could have just made a topic lol. But yeah, alot of us feel that way. I know I would run my fogs 24/7...if I had em(I'll install them eventually). Sadly in most places off road lights are illegal to have on when on the road. So unless you're in a rural area that isn't an option. You can try different bulbs, I forgot what others say they use, or HIDs...but those technically aren't legal(I think) and a few frown upon those, unless they are projectors.

Like bmxer said this should be its own topic. However I feel the lights ars just fine. I rarely use my high beams. I regularly get flashed with my low beams on. I would not recommend switching to HID as the projectors are not made for them and you will blind other drivers. You can try a slightly brighter bulb. Or installing an auxiliary set of driving lights. In all honesty if you have trouble seeing at night get your eyes checked and start eating more carrots. They help improve night vision.

Go to Sylvania Ultra headlights. No HID nightmares (like I went through), no PITA wiring or setups. Only downfall is shorter life expectancy in bulbs. But whiter and strong cleaner light.

Lol after the first few I gave up. Now my front bumper is rashed up pretty good. And I have fingers down both sides from the brush. I can get the sides out but the bumpers will have to be sanded and repainted.
