Valve stems.

My 08 has a broken valve stem. It broke in half about halfway down the Schrader valve so it is only losing air slowly. My friends down the street are changing out the whole assembly for around $100, which is fair since most of that is for the part.

But being a cheapskate by nature, let's talk about how to get around this money drain while keeping the tire pressure monitoring system. The guys at the shop said they might be able to "band" the sensors to the wheels when it gets to be new tire time. Anyone had any experience with that?
