Unnecessary ESP activation

Hi Jeepers,

I am wondering if anyone with a lifted KJ or KK has solved the issue of unwanted ESP activation when turning sharp corners slowly. In my experience ESP activates (an ABS-like grinding sound) during a slow right or left turn, usually over an uneven surface or a bump. It is common when turning 90 degrees, like into a side street or driveway. The ESP problem began for me after lifting (4 inches), but became even more common after upgrading from 225/75/R16's to 245/75/R16's a few months later. Some people with 2 inches of lift but stock sized tires (225's) do not experience ESP activation ( Gageraid).

There is a 4-page thread/sticky on LostJeeps.com about this, but it has no definitive answers.

If you have solved the ESP activation problem in your Jeep, we want to hear from you. What did it take to fix it?

JeepCares, if you are reading this, is there a StarScan flash/ESP reset that can be done at the dealership?

Thanks all! And keep on Jeepin'
Lauren

No way to solve it without reprogramming the ESP system(gyro sensitivity to be exact). You can for JK's and WK's but everyone already stated a no-go for KJ/KK's for low demand.

I wish more people demanded it. I get it every day pulling out of my driveway. It's annoying, but doesn't really effect anything.

Thanks for your definitive answer, tj.
I kinda figgered it was something like that. I've asked around and got blank stares.
