Unlocking NAV with Jeep in motion?

I find it annoying that Jeep in their safety wisdom, lock the Navigator when the Jeep is in motion. When on trips, I would like the passenger to be able to search and input information when needed. It's ironic that you can distract yourself with all the other touch screen settings including the hard drive, radio and CD player when in motion, but can't use the Navigator. Is their a "hidden" menu setting or EVIC setting (haven't seen one) that will "un-lock" the Navigator? TIA

Is there a simpler less expensive option? I have no desire for a camera and to watch movies while in motion (for obvious safety reasons) but the GPS features are limited for a passenger to input while driving. I know there is a lock on handheld GPS but that feature can be turned off (and with it increased liability to you and no longer the manufacture by turning off that safety lock.)

Does the screen ever display the Jeep logo? If so then there is a free way to unlock it. on my ford there was a series of buttons to hit to open up the menu which allowed me to change the color scheme to fit Lincoln and mercury, alps here was the option to remove the driving restrictions

Yeah the name JEEP shows up first thing, then there is a agreement about obeying traffic laws then the last used option (radio/nav/etc) displays.

Do go demonic.me and search for the dodge Chrysler Jeep rec rb1 navigation disk. Burn it and install it to the nav system

Thanks everyone for your comments. Thanks scorpionarmor55 for your pics! I think I'll just leave it as is...it's not worth spending $$$ on. That said, the "safety lock" feature does seem a bit silly given the fact that all new cars now have touch screens with many menus, sub-menus and more....all distracting the driver while in motion. What ever happened to knobs! I went to adjust the bass on a song playing on the radio once and by the time I got into the menu, equalizer sub menu and found the frequency to adjust...the song was over.........sheeesh!!!
