Thousands of tiny specs on the windshield of the Liberty

Does anyone else's Liberty have a lot of tiny specs/pitting on the windshield?

I replaced my windshield 3 times already. All three times it was due to very big cracks in the windshield, that developed from stone chips. They either ran across the full width or the height.

It's been 8 months since I last replaced the glass and now I've got 2-3 road chips already.

I also have these specs on my windshield which are very visible in sunlight or street lights at night. I've had them before, but I think they are extreme this time.

I've had a Civic before, and it had these specs but they were very little compared to my Liberty. I'm guessing it has to do with the aerodynamics and the angle of the windshield. The Civic was more slanted and missed most of the derbies, whereas on the Liberty the derbies actually hits the windshield.

Are these specs repairable? Light buffing or clay bar?

See if glass insurance is available. My insurance doesn't offer it or I'd jump all over it.

Same thing here, I always thought it was pine pitch. No wonder nothing would clean it!

I tried the steel wool today, and no difference. So it's definitely not tree sap.

I guess it's one of the downsides to a boxy vehicle.
