The K&N for the 2009 KK gains 11+ hp and the one for the 2011 only gets 9. The engines look the same to me, what is the big change for the 3.7 for 2010 and 2011??

Slightly different programming in the ECU. I have heard, but can't comfirm the newer 2010-2012 have the fuel shut off on deceleration at speeds 40mph and greater.

That's the drive by wire. Say you wanna go under the hood and rev it for whatever reason, well you can't. There's no cable to pull anymore it's all electronic.

What they CLAIM and what you get with their dirty air suckers is much different
Remember someone can claim most anything but your results will vary
Save your money and just buy a good paper filter
K&N is junk

I felt really dumb the first time I was ever under the hood and couldn't find how to rev it by hand.

No no no. That's part of the throttle body. The big area where the air filter is....goes from there thru a ~2.25" hose to a box that's attached to the throttle body. That's the box I'm wondering about.

I have no idea what you're talking about without a picture.

I was told thats an "air reservoir" when the vehicle downshifts for a brief moment their might not be enough air to get past the filter and that is what the box is for. It kind of sounds like bs to me but it also makes sense....

It's a resonator to keep down the noise of the intake sucking in air.

Oh and X2 what Tom said,K&N's suck, well suck in alot of dirt.Great for racing where the engine get's rebuilt often but not a good idea for your daily driver. You will gain nothing from adding one as your engine will draw in the same amount of air weather it's a paper filter,K&N,or no air filter all together.
