Starting problems

I have 2008 liberty and occasionally does not want to start. It will just click. If I hold gas pedal down while starting I can usually get it to start.

Jeep has automatic start on it. If it won't start manually, it will always start with auto start.

Yesterday my daughter came out of store and would not unlock with keyless entry. She could hear it click but would not unlock. I suggested she use auto start. The jeep started and the doors then unlocked for her.

Any ideas.

How's the battery? I have autostart on my 08kk and haven't experienced any issues like that but I have a brand new battery in it. May explain why the remote start works and once the engine is running the doors unlock...
