Decided to buy my Mom's Jeep Liberty limited jet package. Eventually, I want to get rid of the factory enormous wheels. Anyone know the size? I want to get a more standard size, to improve on mpg and ride quality. Any ideas where I can sell them to a local person (Minnesota?) And where I could buy OEm factory Jeep liberty limited wheels?
Congrats on getting the Liberty. We've got 20 inch rims on the Jet. Other Libertys came with 16,17, or 18 inch wheels. I've heard that 15 inch rims do not work due to varying clearance reasons so stick with stock sizes.
craigslist the 20s. Limiteds came with 17s or 18s I believe. Depends on the options. I prefer my 16s. You could always go aftermarket. 5x4.5 bolt pattern. Try to stick to a 7" wide rim, 8" might give you some rub, especially since it won't be lifted.
Just picked up a 2011 myself. I think 16" will give you the most options for tires. Also there's are recall on active head restraints. It is for 2011-2012 Jeep Liberty vehicles manufactured June 17, 2011, through August 15, 2012. Check the sticker to see when it was manufactured and ask mom if she received notice. You could also call the dealership and ask them if the vehicle qualifies for the recall. Normally the owner will receive notice.
