Some Wheeling Pics

Went wheeling and camping for most the weekend. Had an amazing time. Here's some videos and pics:

Trail Video:

Rock Climb Video (some bumper damage at the end...):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZPZT81O9VA

Screenshot from the video:

Everytime I slid off the rock and reset I fell on the engine skid...I would no longer have front axle if I didn't have this engine skid...you've been warned haha.

Wheeling pics:

Here's the view from the other side of me trying to climb up the rocks:

Here's the bumper damage:

Forgot to mention...the local club convinced some Porsches to come wheel with us...

It is crazy how capable the Cayenne actually is.... I would never own one but impressed none the less.

Stock Mopar skid, and he custom made his sliders. He pulled the black plastic sill guard off too.

Looks great!

Just curious if you were running with the rear sway-bar disconnected there, and if so do you also have limiting straps or have any issues with the driveshaft hitting the tank or anything?

I'm running the 4" JBA lift and no rear sway bar (got rid of it a year or so ago) with two hockey pucks per side. With my 265/75s the only rubbing I have IS the driveshaft on the gas tank skid haha. I really just need to spend the $150 and make a new track bar but just haven't yet. (Metalcloak Duroflex joints on both ends).

What BMX said haha. Stock MOPAR does the job but I feel like I'll need to upgrade to the Skid Row engine skid by August...

I also custom built my rocks rails...I don't even use factory lifting location for car lifts. I just use the rock rails. There's VERY sturdy. And 75lbs a piece...

You have a link for the aftermarket skid? I can only find it for KJ's.

That's the skid. A lot of the old timers say it should bolt right up. I'm going to continue to wait until someone else installs it first lol.

Haha exactly excuse my weariness. Even though mine has the trail rated badge, I don't have any skids on mine so I'm looking to purchase them. All I can find are the mopar ones and nothing aftermarket (presumably heavier duty)

All you'll find for KKs are the MOPAR ones. Most of the Skid Row skids will work (presuming they built it off of our 42LRE Transmission and not different ones...). Transfer Case looks nearly identical to the MOPAR one but beefier. I can also 99% guarantee the Engine Skid will work too.

Anyone want to buy a "slightly used" MOPAR skid? Hahaha
