Just a little wait longer

Airflow in Australia are in final stage of development for the KK snorkel. There will be a snorkel for the V6 and CRD. It will look very similar to the snorkel they have out for the Commander.

Just got this email form U.K

1/1/13
Hello Rich,

A snorkel for the KK is proving to be very difficult. The body structure is different to the earlier KJ and to be able to get the air ducting from the snorkel to the air box without causing a loss of performance is an issue. There are too many bends, etc which will reduce the airflow.

The factory are working on this and are hoping to provide a solution.

regards

Alan Howard

What about the Snorkel for the Commander? it has lines and an air system similar to the KKs, doesn't it?

Also, why even bother keeping the factory air box? Why not just design the snorkel to use a round style filter and housing and remove the factory air box entirely as part of the process? Many KK owners have removed their factory air box and replaced it with Magnaflow style air intakes to boost performance. (yes, I know the performance gains are questionable) but by removing the factory box you open up a gigantic space to work with and could really reduce the bends put into the pipe.
