Skyjacker platinum serie or OME lift kit

Hi everyone,

I just got my first liberty KK 2008 last september and I want to lift it... BUT I don't have the budget for a JBA kit :( I have 1000$ budget. so I found 2 kit who seem to be good and I want to know opignons from people who had try those kit. The fist kit is the Skyjacker 2.5-3" Platinum Series Coilovers with rear coil springs. The only thing whit that kit I can't find any information about... And the second kit is the OME 1.50'' lift kit from jeepinbyal , what I read about it is he lift more than 1.50'' is that true?

A last thing if you can post picture of your KK whit one of those kit install and right the size of your tire it will be very apreciate!

Thank you everyone and sorry for my bad english I'm french canadian eh!

OME by far. My OME rides soooo smooth on the trails. I've got the HD springs up front, and the MD ones in the rear. I may switch out soon to the HD's in the rear.

Turbo, How is the ride on the road? Does the Lib corner better then a druken sailor?

There are no HDs for the rear
only medium duty and light weight ones

Wouldn't these be the HD ones? http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-OME_Spring_for_Rear-764.aspx

Bwahaha! The ride is great on the road. It stiffens it up quite a bit. Yes, it handles much better on the road now too. Almost makes it drive more like a truck than a soft arse SUV lol. It's definitely not like stock, as stock is more of the soft arse SUV type. Definitely stiffer. I love it though.

I'll throw up a pic later. Work computers don't like photobucket.

There's only one KK in this picture. 'Tis mine! The rear may be a touch low due to the subwoofer box in it. I got it for free but want to ditch it already lol.

Turbo

Did u do a-arms too or just the OME stuff?

TurboGoKart 02-18-2013 02:26 PM

OME stuff, plus 1/4" plate in the front, 3x clevis lift, 2 extra iso's in the rear, and yeah JBA 5.5 A-arms.

mtbiker 02-18-2013 02:29 PM

I just ordered the OME HD stuff. Was hoping to not have to do the arms. Just looking to get a little height/attitude.

TurboGoKart 02-18-2013 02:52 PM

I know the feeling lol. They're definitely worth it though. Not only do you get the added clearance between a-arm and spring, but you get the ability to only replace the upper ball joint should it fail, as well as a grease point on that ball joint.

Maybe once I recoup some cash. Just don't have it right now.
