Rust in a brand new KK

I live in Brazil and have just bought a brand new KK (0 miles, manufactured in July/12 in the US). I bought it in July, this year. I noticed it has some rusty parts (please see uploaded photos), as well as in several parts over the rear axle.

I´m pretty mad about that since I own a 1998 XJ that simply does not have a single rusty nut. Also, because a KK costs USD60K here !!

I should be very grateful if could give your opinion about this. Is this normal? I went to dealer and observed other KK that does not have these parts rusty. I do not live near the sea but probably these cars come here by ship. The dealer suggests to paint these parts, but in Brazil companies treat customers like idiots, there´s absolutely no respect.

Should I force the dealer to replace these parts with new ones? I´ll probably need a lawyer to do this.

Any advice and opinion will be very welcome.

Thank you very much.

Yeah, normal. Those were not painted at the factory and a little humid weather will cause that. Just hit it with some semi-flat black spray paint.

I recently purchased Flood damaged vehicle in auction which is Jeep KK liberty. Vehicle in New Jersey area were flood damaged during hurricane Sandy , and many of them were auctioned. I am not saying yours is, but if the vehicle was shipped from NJ , it might be drenched in rain and saltwater. You may ask dealer to open the plastic under the gear box to make sure there is no rust there.
