Running without a key

Hi all,
My 2002 Jeep Liberty keeps running even when you take the key off the ignition. You can do this easily without turning. It will also keep playing the radio if I don't make sure to turn the ignition off when parking.
Does that mean the whole ignition needs to be replaced? Other than that it runs great.
Thank you!
Lilly

I don't know what causes this. But a lot of cars do it. Mainly I've seen Chevy blazers and trucks do it. I think it is a defect in the ignition switch

I'm pretty sure the lock cylinder is worn out-try a locksmith, should be cheaper than a dealer.
