Rock Lizard Fabrications makes a low profile rack/basket with feet that bolt onto the roof in the stock location for the factory side bars, under where your plastic strips are. You wouldn't have to worry about getting side bars and cross bars to mount that basket.
Rocky Road Outfitters and a forum member/welder named AtTheHelm both make aftermarket side rails that bolt on. RRO sells a rack/basket, and I think AtTheHelm is developing one.
