Roof racks

Hi guys, I just bought a 2011 liberty and am thinking about adding a few accessories. Been searching everywhere for a roof rack/basket and can't seem to find much. Do they not make them that fit on the standard front to back bars? Any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch.

I have the OEM crossbeams for the roof rack. They are made of extruded aluminum and have boot-like clamps that secure to the rack. They are pretty functional. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of them. If we get a nice day up here in NYC I'll try to get a few quick and dirty ones to post.

There really aren't a whole lot of accessories out there in the aftermarket for the KK outside of OEM parts.

It doesn't look like the height of the crossbars gives you the clearance to open the Sky Slider with them on the vehicle. Or can you?

If not, you could have just used used a set of the OEM rails and crossbars.

So do I need to buy the side rails or do they have crossbars that attach to the roof? I really dislike the idea of having to buy side rails, then cross bars, and then a basket... That is getting pretty expensive for such a simple thing.

ELT, Richd, or any other KK member, I want your input on this:

If you have the 4X2 base liberty model that have no roof rack , you would have to by the rails

Jeep Liberty Side Rails

instructions ---> http://www.jeepworld.com/accessories...erails_IFU.pdf

Then the crossbar Jeep Liberty Sport Utility Bars

instructions ---> http://www.jeepworld.com/accessories..._45058_IFU.pdf

There is a thread on building your own roof rack, I will try and find it

Ugh.... $400+ to just have the capability of putting a basket on. There has to be a better way.

yes, you cant mount anything to the useless plastic rails that come on the stock KK, you need to get the actual side rails. Im just going to get RRO siderails for 190ish because there alot stronger than the Jeep ones and get their adventure basket for 199ish. Still 400 bucks, but alot stonger
