Roof rack question

OK another stupid question. Picked up our new 70th Anniversary Edition Liberty. One of the features is the bright side roof rails, so do these not include the cross bars? Went to the Jeep.com site and can't find any mention one way or the other. It does mention that the Thul cross bars and rack are compatable with the Jeep rails, but what is the real situation?
If I want cross bars are they another option that I have to pay for? Or does the dealer owe me cross bars?
Thanks

Well, I located the answer to my question. The answer is NO cross bars are not part of the roof rail pkg. I guess it is put on the roof for looks not function.
Or is could be that with out the crossbars the Liberty gets better MPH so in the better interest of the consumer Jeep did not install them as a goal to become more "Green Friendly"

I purchased the crossbars from Jeep several months ago from the dealership. It took them a little while to locate and at the time some were on back order. It cost about $120. The basket is nice and stronger, but it's easier to cllean the roof with the bars.

Good Luck :]

Don't you have to have the cross bars first for the basket to be mounted to?
Any photos of the basket with lights mounted I could take alook at?
Thanks

Hello all,
I am new to the forum officially today but have been looking on it for answers for about 2 weeks now.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that sold higher roof rails and cross bars to put a rack or cargo shell on the top of an 2008 jeep liberty with the sky slider roof?
I couldn't find an answer so I thought I would ask. Sorry if this was covered somewhere else and I missed it.

Same people that sell the rack Super linked a few posts ago, Rocky Road Outfitters makes metal aftermarket rails.

Mine should arrive on Monday! Those will definitely help clear the roof when its closed, I'm still looking for a rack that will sit a little higher to clear it when open, or go with a rack like on the zebra liberty that goes around the sky slider.
