Couldn't tell you what they used. I know i have an instruction manual for it. But it was installed by dealer at time of vehicle purchase prior to inception.

The one on the left looks like my original key too. When they installed the remote start I got two new keys that look like the ones on the right.

What button do you press for the remote start? Also, what does the manual say about it? There has got to be some sort of identifying info in there. Just out of curiosity.

It's the turn over arrow with the x2 on it because you press it twice once to secure vehicle then second to start

Musclezmarinara: yours, mine, and everyone else EXCEPT for rescue575 have the same key setup. I am curious about his oddball one.

Lock/unlock/lick combo? the key on the left was the key that came with my '09. No remote start. The key on the right is the key that came when the dealer installed the Mopar remote start.

Two buttons with x2 on it. One to remote start - x2 with curved arrow, other one for hatch window - x2 with outline of Jeep with glass open. So unless Mopar changed their keys, which I doubt, you've got an off-brand remote start installed.

Dont know what to tell you guys......I have had dealer install remote start in my Libby and also in my 07 Grand Cherokee when I bought that (both vehicles purchased brand new and from two different dealerships). Both times remote start was configured into my standard remote.

I know the remotes you guys are referring too, and honestly from what I can remember, the manuals showed those keys. However, mine was and still is configured into my stock remote.

I don't know if different Mopar regions work differently (though that would be odd) or my local dealerships have figured a way to crook me out a little more by keeping the keys the same to make a few extra bucks. This is NY after-all!
