Remote Start

How common is factory remote start on our vehicles? My brother in law says that it is extremely rare (used to sell jeeps). I thought it came on Limited as a standard item.

I dont have my window sticker so i dont know....

How much did you guys pay to have the remote start installed? I called the dealer for a price quote and they never got back to me.

The quotes I got around here were in the $500-$600 range.

According to the Jeep Electronic Accessory System it is $243 for parts and $202.80 for labor. I pulled out my invoice from when I had mine installed and parts were $211.50 and labor was $172.80. Talk to your dealer. Some will give discounts on parts and labor. I had also brought in a quote for the parts from just for jeeps and they matched it.

Our 09 didn't have the remote start, but I had the dealer install it. Really handy in the winter. No cold Jeep for me in the winter.

Mine was about $550 with two new factory keys. Very helpful on days like today with 8"+ snow and plenty more planned for the next few days.
