Quick question about lifting my KK

So adamantly i'm no auto mechanic, I can wire a full house and completely remodel and kitchen or bath but have no idea about the underbelly of my car...
I want to lift my libby 2" and have been looking online and the pricing ranges from around $150 to upwards of $900...for a 2" lift. Soooo...I know a lot of your guys have lifted yours and im curious to know what you paid, the brand (if that matters), and if you have a recommended link to where to buy that would be ideal!
Bottom line, I don't want to pay an arm and a leg, but at the same time I don't want to be driving down the road and have a spring give out.

Thanks guy!

Old man emu is very popular but runs about 750 . You get what u pay for , I would stay away from something costing 150 bucks.

Exactly.. Especially with something as important as your suspension.. You don't want to mess with it and have issues later on.

If I was able to do my suspension over again I would just get the JBA lift for about 2k. I've had issues for the last 6 months and ended up replacing everything with JBA stuff anyway (Rear springs, UCA's and bump stops) Only thing left from my original suspension is the OME rear shocks! The front is OME shocks and HD springs like the people above mentioned. When lifting though getting new UCA's is for sure a requirement from my experiences.

BTW anyone want to buy a Rock Father Deluxe kit off of me!!!! Only used for a few months!

Swahili saying "Bure aghali"
translated its Cheap is expensive
So it is with lifts
Anything under 675 or so is going to be junk
Stay with OME, or full blown JBA adjustable coilovers
My first OME lift went 100,000 miles
ones with spacer lifts make it 10,000 if lucky
lots of great info on here just read through

04 KJ WITH JBA 4 INCH COILOVER LIFT
03 KJ WITH 2.5 TOTAL CONTROL LIFT
