What about wheel weights? I am looking at doing this with my wheels. It looks awesome, and is great that it can be removed easly when I go to trade it in on an upgread later.

I've ran it through touchless carwashes often. With no rips or tears to be seen.

I haven't yet ran it through a brushed car wash but on the bright side if it gets torn up at least it didn't cost much to reapply xD

I guess I should ask do you coved the wheel weighs when you apply it or what. I may need to get my tires balanced again soon. I drive on a really bad road on my way to work.

I covered mine, had to have the wheel taken off and they ripped it up pretty good. most of the dip held up but there is a hole in it at the moment. i wouldnt mind getting the wheel weights that attach to the back of your wheel but oh well.

If you need to get your tires balanced, do that then dip um!

Pull the wheel weights off , paint and reattach, just mark where they go, simple and easy

Anyone have any experience with doing touch-UPS with plasti-dip? If a section does chip or start to peel, can you simply shoot that one small area? Will it blend ok? Will it stick? Will this work?

You can and I have. You will end up with a bit of a small difference in layers but it isn't very noticeable but from really close up

i just bought some of the rattle can stuff. It just showed up in my local parts store in Canada pretty recently. Is everyone using the rattle can stuff or does it come in some other form?

Plastidip bumper and flares

Mine is a KJ, but this was the only plastidip thread I found that mentioned painting bumpers or flares with it.

Has anyone actually done this successfully? I have a sport with the gray textured plastic bumpers and fender flares. How will these look with plastidip? I've only seen it on smooth surfaces, never on textured plastic.

The corner of my rear bumper and the back end of the fender flare have really deep scratches. They actually go completely through the bumper in one small spot. I really don't want to pay $430 to the dealer for a new bumper right now, can't find one in a junkyard, and can't find the right one aftermarket. So I was considering sanding the raised areas of the scratches down as much as possible, then using epoxy to patch the spot where there is a hole through the plastic. Then covering the entire thing with plastidip.
